What we’re building, and why.
Varelune is being built as a calmer, more private way to understand and keep the parts of your health story that are easy to lose between appointments, apps, and years. This page shares the vision behind the work and the current public view of the roadmap.
A note on privacy
We made the policy easier to read.
We updated the Privacy Policy to explain, in plain language, what stays on your device, what happens when you use a website form, and which parts of the app’s privacy work are still being reviewed. The policy remains a product draft until the released app, provider practices, and legal details have all been checked.
How to read this page
This is a curated snapshot, not a delivery schedule. Priorities can change as we test the product, review privacy and security work, and learn from people using it. Linear remains our internal source of truth; this page leaves out internal implementation details and sensitive security work.
The Varelune vision
Your health data should answer to you.
Healthcare is personal. The record of it should not become a monthly data toll or a corporate asset that quietly decides what you can access, understand, or share.
Make your own data easier to understand
Varelune is not here to diagnose you. It is being built to help you notice patterns, carry context between appointments, and arrive better prepared for care.
Do not turn access into a recurring data fee
Core tracking is free, and additional features unlock with a one-time purchase (around $15 or less) rather than a subscription. Your existing records stay available regardless of purchase status.
The path ahead
A product direction you can follow.
Each phase shows the user outcome we are working toward and where the work stands today. Built means the foundation or experience is in place. In progress means the team is actively shaping it. In review means we are checking whether it is ready. Next means we are exploring the idea, not promising a date.
Privacy foundation status
Real protections today. Independent review is still ahead.
Encryption at rest is now implemented on iOS: your vault database and its photo, document, and audio attachments are encrypted, protected by your passcode, and designed to detect tampering. This hasn't been independently reviewed yet, isn't ready on Android, and doesn't protect against everything, like screenshots, an already-unlocked device, or copies you keep elsewhere.
Android validation and the broader release review continue. We will keep this page aligned with verified Linear work and call the product ready for sensitive health data only when the platform and independent review gates that apply to the release have passed.
