A clear agreement for a personal tool

Terms of Service

Effective date: July 27, 2026

These Terms of Service govern your use of the Varelune website and app. By using Varelune, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

1. What Varelune is

Varelune is a personal health-record and pattern-tracking tool for women’s health. It is designed to help you record information, notice patterns, organize questions, and prepare for care. It is not a healthcare provider, medical device, emergency service, diagnostic tool, or treatment service.

2. Medical disclaimer

Varelune does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, or a medical opinion. Information, summaries, reminders, and pattern views are for personal organization and discussion with a qualified professional. Do not use Varelune to make urgent or emergency decisions. If you may be experiencing an emergency, contact local emergency services or a qualified healthcare professional.

Do not delay care or disregard professional advice because of anything shown by Varelune. You are responsible for deciding what to record, what to share, and when to seek care.

3. Eligibility and your account

You may use Varelune only if you can legally agree to these Terms. You are responsible for the device, operating-system account, passcode, and any app-store account used to access the service. Keep those credentials private and notify us if you believe your access or data has been compromised.

Some app features may be unavailable during beta or pre-release testing. Beta access is discretionary, may be limited, and does not guarantee continued access or a production release.

4. Your data and privacy

You retain your rights in information you enter into Varelune. Our handling of information is described in the Privacy Policy. The local-first app is designed to keep health records on your device, but you are responsible for device backups, exports, screenshots, operating-system services, and other sharing choices that may create copies.

Do not send sensitive health information through the website contact form or ordinary email. Varelune may not be able to protect information sent through channels that were not designed for health data.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse Varelune, interfere with its operation, attempt unauthorized access, introduce malicious code, bypass security or access controls, use the service to violate another person’s privacy, or use the website contact flow to submit unlawful, abusive, or sensitive health information.

You may use your own records for personal purposes and may choose to share them with a healthcare professional or another person. You are responsible for the content you enter and the consequences of sharing it.

6. Beta and changes to the service

Varelune may change, suspend, restrict, or discontinue features, including beta features, at any time. We may correct errors, perform maintenance, or limit access to protect users and the service. We do not promise that every feature will be available, uninterrupted, or error-free.

Pre-release software may contain defects and may not preserve data in every circumstance. Keep backups of any information you cannot afford to lose, using only backup features that Varelune explicitly supports.

7. Purchases and annual subscription

Varelune is planned to cost $10.00 per year. The annual subscription is intended to support application updates, ongoing maintenance, and continued feature development.

If and when paid access becomes available, the exact price, currency, included features, renewal date, cancellation process, refund rules, and app-store terms presented at the time of purchase will apply. Subscriptions are processed by the relevant app store, and its payment, renewal, refund, and account rules may also apply. Unless the purchase screen says otherwise, an annual subscription may renew automatically until cancelled through the relevant app-store account.

We will not treat beta access or a free preview as a promise that a particular price or feature set will be available at launch.

8. Intellectual property

Varelune, including its name, branding, software, design, and content, is owned by Varelune or its licensors and is protected by applicable law. We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the service for its intended purpose. These Terms do not transfer ownership to you.

You retain ownership of content you enter. You give us only the limited rights needed to operate, secure, support, and improve the service as described in the Privacy Policy and these Terms.

9. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Varelune is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will meet your needs, preserve every record, be uninterrupted, or be free from harmful components.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Varelune and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, goodwill, or access arising from your use of or inability to use the service. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.

10. Indemnity

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to defend and hold harmless Varelune and its operators from claims, losses, liabilities, and expenses arising from your misuse of the service, violation of these Terms, or violation of another person’s rights.

11. Termination

You may stop using Varelune at any time. We may suspend or terminate access when reasonably necessary for security, legal compliance, misuse, or operation of the service. Sections that by their nature should continue—such as intellectual property, disclaimers, limitations, and dispute terms—will survive termination.

12. Governing terms and changes

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to the legal entity operating Varelune, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where local law requires otherwise. Any dispute process, venue, and consumer rights that apply to you will be determined by applicable law.

We may update these Terms as the service develops. The effective date above shows when the current version became active. Continued use after an update means you accept the updated Terms where legally permitted.
